The TID share of your bill (in its “Local” line), every year until the districts close.
-
Cut 1 · county, sewer district and MATC
They split their levies by value outside the TIDs, so their rates here don’t drop at closure. Their never comes back.
-
Cut 2 · the school’s state aid
At closure the schools look richer to the state’s aid formula, which cuts about – a year. That is more than the school’s whole TID share, so its doesn’t come back.
-
Cut 3 · the city’s levy increase
State law (Wis. Stat. § 66.0602(3)(dm)) lets the city raise its levy by half of what the returning value would take off it, permanently and with no referendum.
